Yuko is a photographer and writer originally from Tokyo, Japan.

At the age of 12, she encountered a Rolleiflex for the first time and became so absorbed in its intricate mechanics that she would take it apart and put it back together. She has been photographing ever since, working across both film and digital.

While studying at university, she interned at a fashion magazine before joining a photography studio in Tokyo after graduation. 

In 2018, she became a freelance photographer and has since been based in Berlin, working across fashion, portraiture, and reportage. Her work also takes her to cities across Europe, such as Hamburg, London, and Paris.

Since 2023, she has also worked as a writer, covering topics ranging from sustainable fashion business models and logistics to culture and everyday life.

ベルリンを拠点に活動するフォトグラファー、ライター。

東京出身。12歳のとき、ローライフレックスに触れ、その精緻な機構を解体しては組み立てるほど没頭。以来、フィルムとデジタルの両方で撮影を続けている。

大学在学中にファッション誌編集部でインターンを経験。卒業後、都内の写真スタジオに勤務。

2018年に独立し、ベルリンを拠点にフリーランスのフォトグラファーとして、ファッション、ポートレート、ルポルタージュを撮影している。ベルリンに加え、ハンブルク、ロンドン、パリなどヨーロッパ各地でも撮影を行う。

2023年からはライターとしても活動。持続可能なファッションビジネスモデルや物流、カルチャー、暮らしにまつわるテーマを中心に執筆している。
